Europak Oy is working in close co-operation with producers, customers and authorities to minimize the environmental impact of packaging buy providing sustainable solutions through our supply chain in a cost effective way. According to the European Union waist should be reduced by the following waist hierarchy:
- Reduce
- Reuse
- Recycle
- Recover
Europak Oy commits to designing and manufacturing the products so that the raw material and energy are used in a way that minimizes the environmental footprint. The manufactured packaging fulfills the requirements for packaging of dangerous goods and also the reduction of packaging material and recovery of the packaging. Used plastic packaging material may be used as raw material when new products are manufactured. Unusable plastic material can be safely used in energy production. By these means we participate in minimizing the impact on the environment.
